Russia - No. They had their moment from 1950 to 1990, but clearly lost it.
Brazil - No.
China - Has potential. Keep an eye on this one.
Indonesia - No.
European Union - No. The euro will break eventually due to the fiscal-monetary disconnect. Free rider problem is unsolvable.
France - No.
Germany - No.
Iran - No.
Turkey - No.
India - No.

In these times, small and medium sized countries with average population can't cut it.
Considering that the
economic activity is the same, it's probably one of the following:
China
India
Brazil

Of the BRICs, I would rank them like this:
1. China
2. India - young and growing population, economic boom.
3. Brazil - same as India.
4. Russia - aging population, gonna lose a lot of people the next couple of decades.

Yes brothers and sisters we can obviously tell which countries have the potential and are most likely to become it, but would you want the country to become it is the question.

I would love Indonesia to be a super power, but the world doesn't work that way.

Countries that are anticipated to be most powerful in he next 20-30 years are the BRICS countries.: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa. These counties are currently the fastest growing economies in the world.
