Why do west Africans smell like fish

Why do west Africans have fishy smell. Those from Nigeria, etc. Everytime I walk past them, the fish smell is so strong.

Are they fish

Fishy smell? I always smell this weird thick musty smell around West-Central-Southern-Africans, nausea causing smell.

The Bantoid groups are smelly indeed.

Also goes for their Caribbean kin.

Its the saltfish they eat. Have you ever bought it or seen it in the market? Waa basically mallaay/kalluun oo cusbo laga buuxiyeey to keep it fresh, lakiin waa qurun. West Indians at least clean their saltfish properly, getting rid of bacteria and majority of the salt, but I would not trust a West African with saltfish because they don't have the flair for cuisine that West Indians have...so I guess they eat badly prepared saltfish and it stinks up the house like Indians and their curry smell.
