Those 4 suxul baruurs with the orange garbo saars know how get down with this shyt. Wicked
Seems like they are all having fun walahi Masha allah. How do people associate this with Xabashi music is beyond me!

I have always found Dhaanto a bit " Ree Miiyi". Apart from that catchy music, the lyrics and the tone ( Laxanka) of it is extremely reer miiyish and that puts me off heesaha intooda badan apart from the odd cool one. But now I am kinda warming up to it coz of the fact that it has been modernized with creative lyrics and music and is guaranteed to get you in a party mood.

Mida kale, it seems like our brothers from Kililka have hijacked the word " Huuno " and the term Galbeedi/ree Galbeed from us original Ree Galbeed Huunos and made it their own! Its all good though

I have only heard huuno/huunoy from Reer Somali Galbeed...and Isnt Awdal Waqooyi Galbeed, technically speaking...Maybe you are Reer Galbeed in the North, but K5 folk have always been Reer Galbeed.

You sure we have just watched the same video? Coz I didnt see a single " Jilbaab" insight the whole time. Its normal diracs and garbo saars!
Lol and also, in this vid most folks were actually dancing well to the tune of the song. I mean just check the girls with the orange garbo saars specially that dime with blondish hair who is in the middle @ 4:12. Not only can she move she is also quite pretty :diddy:

Well, just because you have "Only" heard Huuno in that area doesn't necessarily mean its only used there or thats where the word originated from. Its a well known fact that Huuno is native to Awdal and Jabouti which is where it originated from.

And about the ree Galbeed thing, in the sense of Somalia as whole we are technically considered Ree Galbeed since we reside in the most western part of Somalia.
People in Kililka are only called Somali Galbed for geopolitical reasons. I highly doubt even the folks from Kililka call themselves or identify themselves as Galbeedi or Ree Galbeed but a person from Awdal or Jabouti would relate to that term whenever it's brought up.

I like Jaango style dhaanto helelele ha helelele ha, helelele ha niyadaydan jacaylka u nuglaatay Nafaqaysoo hablaha ku nasiibsaan lahaa.... classic .

@ Qolowalba Ciyarahedu ba,ayda ay ku nool yihiin baa saamaysa. Dhaantada iyo jaandheertu waa ciyaaro geeljire. waxaana loo boodaa sida baarqabka geela. Macalinka reer hawdku waa baarqabka geelooda. marku qooqay qooqaan sidu u kibray u kibraan. tabtuu u boodo ayey u boodaan. Saylicigu waa ciyaar magaalo noocyadeeda qaar kamida oo ciisuhu aad u ciyaarana waxa loo boodaa sida Waraabaha fule xantiis ma moogee inaad bahalo iska dhigi kartaana waata laydinku xanto idinka iyo ciisaha. Niikadu waa ciyaar baantuu. madawga oo dhan waxay jecelyihiin bahasha badhida la yidhaahdo. niikada badhidaaa aad loo ruxaa. Ciyaar.

Agent - Cool, but Somalida existed before colonial borders, my dad's family are from k5 and we always referred to them as Reer Galbeed because they were born before the borders and were the most Western during that time. Somalida before these borders came up shared a region so you and k5 folk would be Reer Galbeed. As for huuno, it has been used there forever so its something you share, allahu aclam the first person who said it.

Aisha...yes, its her, Dirgax has fattened her up a bit masha Allah lol

gedo not all rer galbeed say huuno.

even with ogadens, rer abdillah were famous to use it.

rer isaaq and others use walaal just like rer woqooyi. so not every one familiar with houno is k5.
