So basically...Rohingya refugees are crossing into Thailand, the smugglers are no different to the evil bastards who smuggle our own people through Libya...they ask for the kind of money few people have. So Rohingya men in Thailand are now paying off the smugglers, as long as the girls marry them. The families seem kind of OK with it...marry a man from their community, they don't get sold into prostitution, they have a safe passage and seeing as it marriage, it seems like a good idea because they'll have a home too.

Do you agree with the New York Times....is this a sinister trade in women?

If it was Somali men doing this to Somali women...I would be appalled at the deal...Don't they have a lineage these girls? Someone to receive them somewhere?

The only morals i'm concerned about is those of the Muslim international community who watch on while these rohingyas are being persecuted and driven from their homes.

Jews for godsakes who's population was like 15 million at the time , evacuated the Ethiopian Jewish population when Ethiopia was collapsing and at the brink of war. Are we not better than them when it comes to protecting our own , when we number in the billions ?

Jews have been on the dole list of many rich and powerful countries for decades. Muslims are experiencing a war from the outside AND from within.

UAE is busy enjoying their 1st world problems (they've had money for like one generation), the rest of the Muslim population are either in the same situation as the Rohingyas, on the brink, just recovering or experiencing unrest. Jews have one small territory to worry about and the whole world (including us) are funding it. We're busy with serious strife or catching up while all they've done is consume and drop bombs on kids....apples and pears.

Forget about the other 49 Muslim majority countries , Saudi Arabia alone has more wealth and access to resources than Israel , Muslims also have Nukes (pakistan) and are more geographically spread. We have the money , numbers and bombs. but somehow we are paralyzed and ineffective when it comes to protecting ourselves and dealing with our enemies.

Eerrmmm...how about that big crazy terrorist country which has been plaguing us for decades with its support for our Christian led/predominantly Muslim neighbour. If Muslims attacked Israel...whoever dropped the bomb would be bombed back (remember what they did in Iraq at the start of the war....because of a rumour) and swiftly sanctioned. Look at Iran, once America's biggest enemy now begging for those sanctions to be lifted. There is literally no escape unless we start building armies and military bases globally like the US and Europe - but they'll sanction people for even competing with them militarily. They even have entire countries who are fighting wars for them in exchange for petty salaries.

The only way out is to out-develop them and fund each other to make hijrah if they're a minority.....No-one, not even Saudi will attack a US interest.
