Now this is being used as a retaliation for the equally foolish 'Hargeisa invented book fairs' thread. At least it better than each killing each other over it...I hope Reer Mogadishu and Reer Hargeisa take advantage of the opportunities, unlike you qurbajoog folks.

Anyone here know what the event is about?

Congratulations AbdiWahab...I'm really genuinely excited, agriculture and reforestation is my obsession and goal in life/when I move back home inshaAllah. How much work have you done so far, what are the yields like?

Also, I like that Somalis in general feel more dignified working back home without the fanfare

BaastoUnit

As soon as I see a printed sign and nothing on offer but a chat....I get turned off.

Gedo, the yields have been good. The challenge is land management because or people are not patient. Their mindset is in the present not the future. Convincing them to alow tracts to be left fallow from grazing does not register.

Brilliant news, congrats!

Just let them know that you're not leaving, most of these projects in Africa disappear as soon as the manager gets enough to put on his CV. What have you been farming? It is mainly cattle feed?
