Puntland is actually really invested in Sanaag. Construction on Maakhir University- Badhan is due to begin in Feburary.

Puntland is negotiating with Japan and Germany to pool their grants for roads in Puntland to funnel funding into the big road from Ceel Daahir to Ceerigabo. Warsangeli have large tracts of land within Bari, their main town being Ceel Daahir, and along the coast west of Bosaso (Ceelayo).
They have minister of Justice in the FGS and Speaker of Parliament in Puntland.
Thinking that they would give all of that up, divide themselves into two halves seperated by a false border, and cut ties with Puntland is the kind of wishful thinking idoor is known for

Warsangali have more to gain to participate the process. Somaliland has more to to show off ! .They sell their loyalty at the right time and the government buy images at the perfect time to sell to the international community. This is peaceful drama between the two sides since the last 25 years. at the other hand Somaliland shows off its big muscle in Sool. Galaydh is back and the death of bahararsame rebels will rise again to a new level. Somaliland is like Angelina Jolie in action she is seductive and dangerous at the same time. if you watch the clip you can notice the art of persuasion involved this drama.

Warsangeli are civilized people. Apart from the brief Dhahar episode in '07, they have been good sport.

When i was a kid I was taught in school that I own badhan before I discover that habarjeclo lives in Barbara.
