So my mother is finally back.

Unannounced --- Haven't seen her over 2 years - she been chilling in Somalia. While I've been waiting for her patiently so I get marry.

So I have to break the news to her today or tomorrow- shitting myself.
Plus my mother loves big wedding - I hate it.
I just want simple mehra and get on with my
life.
So I was thinking maybe instead of me telling her, I could just invite my guy and his people and they can tell her?
Obviously I will tell her in advance that important people are coming for lunch?

Or should I just tell her?
I find it embarrassing me tell my mum "mum am getting marry, would you like to meet my boyfriend" when I think about saying that in afsomali its sounds yucky.

So you married folks how did you break the news to your parents?

obviously I won't use the word "boyfriend" I will be speaking in afsomali with her, and I find some words in the somali language uncomfortable front of my mother---- even saying "I wanna get marry is so embarrassing".

I know but my mum have to agree first then - they come in- my brothers and uncles will - my dad is not here - he will have to pass the guardanish to my older brother when it is all confirmed - that's how it happened when my sister got married.

Listen, dont and i repeat do not bring over your bf so mom can meet him and the two of you breaking it to her. Call your brother, uncle or Dad for god sake, let them talk to him and his family. You set a date where your bf with his dad, uncles and tol come over to your house to meet the men in your family and ask for your hand in marriage. That's pure dignity right there.
Moms responsibility in all of this, plus you and your aunts, is just to host the event and make a first class delicious casuumad( And plz dont tell me u dont know what casuumad is )
