Dubai Hotels

Post by Daff »

Anyone that lives there or visits often. Any recommendations, rates. What about the Somali owned hotels. I have 3 nights stop over, good spots to visit.

Thanks in advance.

There are a few very low budget Somali run hotels in the gold souk......city of gold hotel Dh 200 per night....half if you share the room.
Jubba hotel is a half decent hotel... slightly more expensive.
Best advice is to go online.....hotel bookers and the like will find you a suitable hotel. :)

Prices went up at least 30% since Dubai won Expo 2020.
Not to mention they recently cut fuel subsides. Now it goes up and down depending on the
global market so does everything in Dubai. If you have family there, it's better to go and stay with them.
200 DH is a little bit less than 50$, it's only a night in Juba or
city gold a one star hotel. But in the northern Emirates, you can get a night in a 3-4 star hotels
with the same amount of money or slightly higher.

I would advice to come around January or February when
the weather is much more pleasant. Good luck.

^^^^With the blacked out windows behind choitram supermarket. :)
It's a good transit hotel.....near to the Somali restaurants and textile merchants.
I've stayed there three or four times and have found the rooms/shower to be clean and basic.
PS they provide free airport transfers too.
