Beautiful town....masha'llah.
Lack of government is costing Somalia dear......this river should be used to irrigate the whole region instead of a few gardens.

Wow so there's only one way out?
With the right type of planning and irrigation , the river can be used to green all that brown.

Basra, speaking of luuq, how about you and yours truly going into one, away from the prying eyes of curious forum members, and sharing together perhaps an hour or two of a passionate, steamy intimate interlude?Basra- wrote:"AbdisalamAato " ---Geo--this person tweeting looks like u!

Re: Luuq's unique geography
The largest contigous piece of fluvisol soil in Somalia is in Luuq district. I looked at the potential of irrigated sorghum, and Luuq district has the potential to out produce all rainfed sorghum in Somalia. The area between Luuq and Dolow has great prospects. The only problem I can see is that it is far inland meaning pumping costs are probably way too expensive right now.original dervish wrote:Beautiful town....masha'llah.
