I am about to go on 50 days vacation to Nairobi. I am going to my mom's house so I am not worried about rent. How much is enough for just hang out and bashaal?

If you got your living arrangements covered than you need atleast 3000-4000$ USD and another 1000-1500 as back up just in case the money runs out or anything unexpected happens, you never know, Africa is unpredictable. Make sure to keep the back-up stash in a xawalad or give it to a family member or a friend in the states so they can wire you the money when you are in need of it.

Sumu, Depends on what you want to do in Nairobi if you want to chill out with your mum and family then $1000 is enough. On the other hand if you are going for bashaal then even $5000 is not enough
