The MOST important lessons i have learned this YEAR!

Post by Basra- »

1. Humans are what they are--Weak, Vulnerable and Unchanging.

2. You can NEVER make Humans "like" you, despite how much you reason with them with kindness or understanding. But you can definitely make Humans RESPECT YOU---even if u have to make them FEAR YOU --first! :eat:

What have you learnt? :eat:

Both of these are very accurate observations.

I've learned this:

the hard way this year. Sometimes, you just gotta be an a-hole to get things done. Sadly enough, ppl will respect you if you are rude & abrasive because those traits correlate strongly with "alpha" individuals, and the opposite(dismiss you, disregard you) when you are "nice".

I think the key is to know when to utilize your inner a-hole. Use it like a specialized tool, and then when you're done, put it away.. That's what I did, and I gotta say, the results are impressive.

Nice thread Basra

I have learnt that you are influenced more strongly by your surroundings than you realise at the time. It only dawns on you when the influence results in a change in behaviour. Once you have had that influence, even if you remove yourself from that situation and normalise back to your personality, next time you are in a similar situation the symptoms present much sooner.

Sort of like how if you reach a certain level of stress, once the stress diminishes you are still going to start from that level of stress next time you're in a difficult situation.

Be so very careful about the people you expose yourself to and be aware of your reaction to their attitudes.

It was once remarked here that the day Basra contributes anything of substance will be a sure sign of approaching End of Days (yoomulqiyama).

Now that this dreadful prophecy has been fulfilled, there is sadly nothing left for us to do but to repent and resign ourselves to the pending Day of Reckoning.

Lord have mercy upon our souls!
