Diisow is a war dance. The Somalis in Waamo came up with it during the wars with the Oromo. They adopted the Oromo age-set system and used it against them. Each of the groups is supposed to represent men born during the same season. Originally all the warriors would line up and present before abaanduulayasha dagaalka.
