A heart warming tale
A fob marries a Norwegian born maiden and has two daughters before the marriage falls apart.
The teenage wife can't adjust to married life with a religious Somali.
She walks out on her marriage and baby daughters to take up with some Norwegian punks.
The father looks after his daughters full time while studying.
Years later he moves his elderly mother and daughters to Egypt where they study Quran as well as regular subjects.
The daughters flourish and reach university age. By now their grandmother is sickly & infirm and their Father is the primary carer.
One day the elder of the two daughters tells her father that he cares for his mother, and she wants to do the same for her mother.
The father was taken aback....his former wife left her children while they were still in nappies and had not seen them since.
The daughter was determined to follow through on her decision. She moved back to Norway got a job and rented an apartment.
The years hadn't been kind to her mother, who by now was living in homeless shelters and addicted to heroin.
Her daughter tracked her down and took her home. She also supported her through rehab and brought her back into the fold of Islam.
The last I heard both mother and daughter are doing fine.....Alhamdulilah!
I think there is a hadith that says....if a man/parents raise daughters to become good Muslims they will be granted jannah, because they will have raised the mothers of the Ummah.
PS am first cousin of the father.
