A 15-month-old child who was the subject of an amber alert Thursday was found safe after a citizen spotted the suspect’s vehicle and alerted authorities, the Anoka County sheriff’s office says.

Khadijah Abdalaziz Sheikh was apparently taken from her daycare center in Ramsey, Minnesota, Wednesday by her mother who had recently lost custody of the child, authorities said. They believed the child’s life was in danger, leading to the alert issued by the Minnesota Bureau of
Criminal Apprehension Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff’s office said the mother, Yusra Abumayaleh, 30, “had been acting in an irrational manner,” and threatening to harm herself and others.
Descriptions of the child, the mother, and the car Abumayaleh was believed to be driving were widely circulated during the alert. A statement from the sheriff’s office says the car was spotted by a citizen who reported it to law enforcement, leading to the arrest on Interstate 35W at 6:50 p.m.




The sheriff’s office says Khadijah appeared to be unharmed but was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
They describe the incident as an abduction by a non-custodial parent and say criminal charges will be considered. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension confirmed that the suspect in custody is Abumayaleh.

Staff at the daycare were unaware that Abumayaleh had lost custody of her daughter when she picked up the child on Wednesday, authorities say.

This happened yesterday but it was everywhere. I was at a restaurant and my phone and everyone else's phones blew up screaming. The TV channels all displayed it. I-94 highway had huge signs describing the car. It was crazy.

Luckily the baby and woman were finally caught last night.

The white people at the restaurant were all talking about how that daycare is finished, their license is going to be taken because they let her walk out with the baby etc. I didn't know the baby was even Somali or what the Somali angle was until today. Now I just realized it was probably a Somali daycare

Basra everyone in the state gets the alert, that's how Amber Alert works. Time is crucial so everyone has to be on the look out to catch the kidnapper and save the child.

Where does it say that the child is a Somali? And looking at the last name of the mother, it is clear that she is a Muslim from Middle East as the last name Abumayale is a clear indicator of an Arabic background, so how she can be called a white mother is just pure nonsense. nacas, this is a white woman who changed her name when she became a Salafi Arab bootyclapper like yourself. She was married a Somali wahhabi like yourself and then they broke up. Because she's mentally unstable she lost custody and the baby is with the father.
