Salaam akhiyaarta. first of all, I like you guys as much as I like all Somalis--- we are all brothers one way or another.
Now answer me this,
You guys want to split with us because you believe you have a fundamental human right to govern yourself how you please. You think want to stick to the her majesty gov't's land allocation. I get it. but here is my question,
Don't you think Gedabuursi, Dhulbahante and wersengali have no fundamental human rights to join whom they want? why would you deny another Somali person the samething as you want. We know 95% of Isaaq wants to go. That is good but you will get the support of people like me who believe in human freedom when you allow those clans the same freedom.
I think the closest you will get to ictiraaf is this, Let those clans go, take waqooyi galbeed and togdheer and form a gov't. You have a port, an airport, enough land and what have you. Sheekoyinkaan habartii Inkiriiska ahayd ayaa sidaan tiri iyo Sir McHenrry the great baa nayiri idinka saari mayso.
Let me welcome intellectual discussion. If you start cay, I will just take it as Khat is doing its thing.

we don't believe we have a fundamental right to rule ourselves (would we say that when mahdi or ciisa csw come) but a union with your people is just not workable. you are both a financial burden and an intellectual burden too. i used to look at those crazy african tribes that danced around fires and used to think what utter savages, unfortunately i think of your people in the same light. I don't mind a union with djabouti and hawd who we share the same culture, language, religion etc who are civilised people but i certainly don't want to be grouped together with you.
Now when it comes to samaroon and hart ( you forgot ciise btw) in 1990s everyone met and signed a treaty saying we are all forming Somaliland, no one was forced (despite what some clowns say) they could've said it is not for us and we will stick to our southi friends. now i believe some of this people went back on their decision due to political apathy which hasn't been addressed. Until that political apathy is adressed no one can talk about khaatumo state etc.
one more thing, be honest do you think somalia will ever function without isaaq brain (and wealth), will it ever be a prosperous nation.

Sxb I like your answers. But here is what I do not know. In 1960, You sat down with us and say we are forming a gov't with you. 1991, you thought it will not work for you and you decided without consulting us to break the treaty and leave. Don't you think Samaroon and Harti have a right to break the treaty the same way you did in 1991? You did not need our permission to go, so do they need your permission to go? think about being fair. Yes they signed those treaties but they have a right to backlist from it just the same way you did.
ifahamsii.

Hooyadeey iska daayoo explain your point to us. before the Majesty gov't came, there was no gov't. every clan live in his own place and people moved as they pleased. Your whole justification for " Somaliland" is her majesty's land marking. Am I wrong?

In 1991 they signed on the dotted line to return Somaliland sovereignty also there was referendum held in 2001 so had plenty of chances to voice there choice just failed to do so and it's too late we moved on

cool i understand you but what was the final straw in 1991. didn't 2 hawiye men out of no where start fighting over presidency, we had an agreement that hawiye would no turn the civil war an excuse to start another genocide (against jebarti), that after afwayne was kicked out, everyone from every region was to come and have a discussion as to what is going to happen. now if two hawiye men start claiming i am the president then there is literally no point in wasting time is there. There was no choice or meeting like what happened in buro and borama in 1991
Btw majority of samaroon want to stay with somaliland same with ciise, the problem is harti political apathy, they firmly need to be addressed as i said earlier
