Good beat; classic somali batar. I love it without the music.

The batar is usually sung/danced to by women. It is very common in the NFD.

Very soon we shall witness men singing the buraanbur :cry:

Amina Ciise below has the voice, the move and much more. The kid is wonderful.

Where did you get the word "Botorka" from? I think the right term is Batar.

i don't know what they call it in south but this dance is popular in woqoyi-bari and they call it 'Botor'

I don't know what they call it in the south but in the NFD and southwest Ethiopia and Gedo, it is called Batar. I am assuming that it is called Batar in Xamar.

Bal ha la soo baaro.

Maybe Bator is the street name nowadays... Bal dadka waaweyn soo wareeysta.

My bet; it is called Batar all over Somali inhabited terrorities.
