Do you support Somali womens rights?

Post by TheFuturist »

I would suggest that they have equal property ownership rights, political participation rights, a right to access education and jobs/professions, a right to make decisions independently (such as whether to have operations or not) without approval of their husbands, protection from sexual and domestic violence, protection from destitution and daylight robbery in divorce.

Do you support this, yes or no? No poll will be created so cowards wont be able to hide behind the poll.

Apparently the above would turn Somali women into "feral feminist sluts"

Those rights are stipulated in the holly Quran and anyone who disagrees or is against them is against Allahs words.

I support somali womens rights but i dont support feminism. I think there is huge linguistic flaw to collapse ''Feminism'' with ''Womens rights'' as both concepts articulate completly different social realities.

Somali womens rights responds to injustice against women but seeks solutions within the cultural/biological context, thus it does not ignore or deny the biological design of men and women.

Feminism on the other hand is a Eurocentric reactionary movement created in the 50s, the sole purpose is to pervert human nature and is in agreement with everything that breaks up the Somali Family Unit.

In Somali Society we focus more on Harmony instead of Tick For Tack Equality. We dont Focus on Individualism but rather communal collectivism.

Feminism has betrayed an entire generation of women into childlessness. It is devastating.

I support womans rights in the same way, the asxaaba did, nabi Maxammed s.c.w did. Not the lesbians mambo jambo of today, but i support all the points you highlighted.

Ps in Somalia, somali regions and the diaspora its our woman that do all the work. So its long over do with equal rights they do all the work let them get the recognition, i mean its not against God although it might hurt few sore egos.

I support human rights, gender has nothing to do with it, in fact if someone brings up gender and expects special treatment, that is when I lose interest and walk away.

Poll would've been so much easier. You're insinuating women don't have these rights. Women already participate in politics, they also already have access to education, and there are plenty of women with jobs and professions. However all this is less so than men as traditional gender roles are practiced and even encouraged (shocker), while in the west its pretty much shamed by feral feminists as you're self.

Sexual and domestic violence? Im confused, can I get the statistics on this? Did your father beat your mother, seems your insinuating we all lived in you're conditions    . I dont know much about this daylight robbery or how the laws in Somalia issue divorce. But the clan and familial structure within somalia typically deal with this. You have family and society picking you back up when you fall. Something you're unsurprisingly and oddly against.

Right to education
Right to employment
Right to financial independence

These are the rights I support.

Lakiim women should dress modestly and keep out of politics.

equal property ownership rights
In my entire life, I've never heard of an incident where a woman was told "You can't buy this house because you are a woman". Never in my life.
a right to make decisions independently (such as whether to have operations or not) without approval of their husbands
You mean operations like breast and butt enhancements, and other plastic surgery operations?
protection from sexual and domestic violence
Who protects them now?
political participation rights, a right to access education and jobs/professions
For women to work is a curse to women themselves not a blessing, because whether they are bread winners or not, an entire household is waiting for them to manage. They are the General Manager of the household. So that gives them work 2 jobs.
Dumarka howsha guriga ayaa ka badane tu kale ha ugu darina.

Access to education  but we don't need you or your Euro masters to import that (The idea) for us. Hence Gabar wax la baray waa bulsho wax la baray.
protection from destitution and daylight robbery in divorce.
Actually women are not obliged to pay a single penny in the marriage or in the event of a divorce (Except for some occasions). If the wife has billions of dollars to her name, it is still the obligation of the husband to provide every single item the family needs. I don't know how that is daylight robbery!
