When a minority group do Something like this most goverments create a " minority hero " to prevent riot against minority . in this kind of situation solidarity is very important. You remember when alshabab hit west gate all eyes were on A somali police officer. His images where all over kenyan news outlets.

I have 2 problems with what this guy is proposing. First, in his fifth point, "Positioning Jews as Islam’s chief enemy, thereby making anti-Semitism central to the Islamist project (as Hamas’s founding charter attests)," is putting the beleaguered Palestinians in the same level as the so-called Islamic State. Truth is Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups never initiate attacks outside of Palestinian territories. Hamas has particularly made clear that it has no agenda outside of Palestine. Second, He has not made one single reference to the 70-year old Israel's genocide against Palestinians; the persistent invasions of Western nations to Muslim lands that contribute to the rise of these groups, and anger of Muslim masses that these fraudulent groups exploit; and the support offered to these groups by the Western intelligence agencies and the despotic regimes in the region which they (The West and Israel) support.

While it is a step in the right direction to criticize this terrorist attack in Paris and many others in other places, this guy fails to mention many of the root causes that contribute to the rise of the extremist groups.
