growing chickpeas in somalia?

I hope grant sees this thread...works for somalia? There r plenty of them in south africa.

living in somalia without chickpeas will be hard....I hardly have sauce without it.

Are there any packed products?

in the markets we got only cambuulo/beans/fasuliya

in the levantine/egyptian/north african cousine its called homs

What a coincidence I just had some hummus last night. They surprisingly sold canned chickpeas and tahini in the supermarkets of Hargeisa when I went there last summer. I'm sure you can find it in xamar if you look around.

Didn't find anything in Somalia. This is for Ethiopia, where chickpeas are a major rain-watered crop.
