This is ridiculous, the blue flag is predominately an ethnic flag (representing all 5 Somalia, Somaliland, NFD, Somali Galbeed, Djibouti) it also happens to be the flag of the nation.

Hargeysa as capital of Somalia? The city can't even support the people living there as of now. How could it be a capital for all Somalis?

Somalias govermen system is coming back day by day. so guys i dont think Somalia needs north west region of somaliya aka break away somaliland region .. hargeysa goverment controll hargeysa to burco to berbera. they dont have controll of all former british.somaliland. Somali goverment can just isolate hargeysa goverment. already we oppened somali passport service office in buuhoodle which means central goverment is working in north Somalia.. so Somalia does not need unity from hargeysa goverment. Hargeysa can keep it's status quo. we koonfurians we will just isolate them. believe it the coming federal goverment in year 2016 will be even stronger and stronger..

Why? If you want to reject what Kacaankii Barakaysana established, then others will reject anything that came before Kacaankii Barakaysana. Thus, don't you think the logical conclusion to take is to create districts and gobols that will be agreed upon by all?

Lolwut. British-Somaliland Protectorate has about 30% to 40% of the Somali population of Somalia. On the other hand, Italian-Somaliland Protectorate has probably 60% to 70% of the Somali population of Somalia living there. The Somali civil war did not take place because it was "North vs South" politics. It took place because it was "Clan A vs Clan B". Let each clan represent itself. Why the need to group multiple clans that don't like each other to come underneath one umbrella?

What happened in 1988 is nothing compare to what transpired between 1991-1993. The Gadabursi were decimated. The Darod were uprooted from their homes and driven into Kenya and Ethiopia. The Hawiye had the worst inter-clan civil war ever + Darod counter-attack + the whole Black Hawk Down fiasco. The bloody Habar-Habar civil war in the mid-1990s. What makes YOU special?
