Xabesha Identity crisis: Can the Xabeshas really claim the accomplishments of their ancestors

Post by Hararboy »

Looking at the the history of the Xabeshas, its clear that their ancestors unlike Somalis or Oromos were heavily mixed with foreigners. Some ancient leaders look very Araby and their langauge and alphabets like geez are derviative of ancient yemeni text. The Xabeshas of a thousand years ago was probably more genetically related to a yemeni than an Oromo. So what kind Xabeshas do we have now? They barely look any different to cushites like the Oromos and the Somalis. I saw a midget Amhara the other day and he looked like a typical Oromo. When are the Xabeshas going to admit that they cant claim their own history since clearly the ancestors of Xabeshas were different people than the Xabeshas of today. Clearly the Xabeshas, have, been mixing with Oromos and the Agame for far too long and most dont have links to any of their mixed race ancestors. Most probably embraced a Xabesha identity inorder have social mobility in Abyssinia as the Xabeshas were great at assimilating different cushitic tribes. Its almost as stupid as a Somali claiming distant Arab ancestry and calling himself an Arab and claiming the history of Arabs. There are some Xabeshas who can claim there ancestry as they look like they have Semitic ancestors like the Tigrinyas of Eritrea, but a vast majority of Tigrayans and Amharas are of a cushitic extraction, no different to the Oromos they despise. Its pathetic how so many xabeshas have a hatred of dark people yet most of their people are dark cushities themselves. Xabeshas need to sort out their identity problems.

Xabeshas of yesteryear

The Habesha in Eritrea are way better looking than the one's in Ethiopia.

Oromos look like the typical MJ's.
