There's no such thing as Somalinimo in real life. People go by clan in Somalia.

Only when Somalis are abroad do they realize that they are more similar than different.

Yes, and a very big one too.
But what makes it even more pathetic, it isn't even Somali made.

Ethnic nationalism in 21 century is nothing but BS.

Are people here retarded? What you are saying makes no sense. That like saying people go by Muslim in somalia instead of clan.

Why are idiots always trying to push for some sort of western form of nationalism?

Islam comes before clan. Clan comes before Somali. Somali comes before being African..

A wise individual would instead take everything that makes up the Somali identity and incorporate it into Somalinimo.

If somali intellectuals knew what true Somalinimo actually means , Somalia would have been prospering long time ago.

Somalinimo does not mean Western Form Of nationalism, which Somali people always confuse it for.

True Somalinimo is authentically somali that includes Clannism. The fact that people always try to undermine clan and push it out of the equation is what has led to Somalia being at the state is today.

So the Answer in Short becomes a No!!

I don't understand the question. How does being a Somali stop you from being successful in life?

Authentically somalinimo is all that defines being somalis including Clannism.

Did you Even read what i wrote?

You guys try to undermine and seperate Clannism from somalinimo and act like its not part of the somali reality. We must accept that we are a clan based societ and build around it to compliment it and bring out its potentials. Qabil are positive social unist that bones and keeps us together.

That is why you pseudo nationalistic Hags with your eurocentric reality always attack our identity like we dont have the right to self define ourselves and describe our own unique social reality.

Instead of dumping bunch of pseudo nationalistic bulshit like federalism, marxist communist socialism, wahabi governance or whatever foreign incompatible Crap you people have come up with. We instead need build our own system compatible with our own social structure thats is fit and tailored to us.

Once you do that Authentics Somalinimo that incorporates everything it means to be somali will shine.

Once upon a time oday la odhan jiray Martin Luther King had a dreamt. Wuxuu ku riyooday, one day, maalin aan fogeyn, 'little madow girls will hold hand with little cadaan girls'. Meanwhile on the other side of the world, laba Soomaali also had a dream. Waxay ku riyoodeen, one day, maalin aan fogeyn, 'little jabuutian girls, will hold Hand with little ogaadenia/nfd.nia/ iyo with italian somalia girls and British somaliland girls'.

Fast forwads to 2015 and no one is holding hands, oo hablihii yara ee rajada laga qabay weyba isku wada ureen oo, uf iyo ish iyo kir! Bah ka soo hadhay.

Somalinimo? Or oxymoronimo?

Somalinimo aka somaliwayn bullshit today was nationalistic movement started by British guy after war world two. The orginal somalinimo like hiddo iyo dhaqan is completely separate from the somalinimo people refer to today so don't mix it up.

Orginal somalinimo hiddo iyo dhaqan is not a burden but on the other hand the idealogy of somaliwayn is a burden for somali prosperity

:o Discuss WHAT??? The creator of this thread is insane. You start a subject with just a title?? Is Somaliniimo a Burden for Somali Prosperity: Explain with a further elaboration of your ideas, arguments, and then invite people to counter or support. I am amazed at the idiots who followed with their own understanding of what Somaliniimo & the burden for Somali Prosperity is. Ridiculous. :eat:

Happy Saturday! :)
