So does the US doesn't stop them from importing...Its like druggies, you don't get high of your own supply. If you can sell yours at a high rate, and import cheaper than you sell you are not losing money. Plus it makes sense, if the demand is high or more to resell.
Ain't read yet, but there are many economic reasons to buy cheap oil.

Just because they have OIL, doesn't mean Russia cant steal more OIL.
Look at it this way, Russia has the biggest land mass in the world.....but that didn't stop them from stealing Crimea and half of Georgia.
I wouldn't put anything behind Putin.

ISIL is selling crude oil significantly under the international market price.
Nigerians who steal oil from Shell pipelines do the same thing.

Russia wanted to paint themselves as the good guys. Now all those efforts of many hours of surveillance work will be for nothing. He turned the table on them

Who cares. We know Turkey was in the wrong to shoot down the Russian plan. It's not like the Russians were a threat to Turkey meriting sneaky attack. We know the Russians were playing risky game by flying so close to Turkey's borders after being repeated warned for weeks. Both sides are wrong in this case.
Having said that, Turkey is certainly dragging its feet in fighting against the scourge that is ISIS. These barbaric, heart-eating, head-chopping primitive savages who have to be destroyed. And Turkey is the most capable Muslim country to that.
