Yes they work, the only problem is that they can get addictive very easily. But they work indeed

There are two types of sleeping pills; the ones that knocks you out and makes you fall asleep, if that is the problem

The other type doesn't knock you out but makes sure you stay a sleep for a good 8 hours.. Those are for people who can fall asleep but wake up after 2,3 hours.. What are your sleeping issues like ?

Do you sleep with a light on or no light?

Do you use your phone in bed?

Do you watch tv an 1 or 2 before bed?

Do you have your blinds and curtains fully down with no any visible of any light?

Salaam hyper, you should be careful with such advice, this is a medical issue and wisest would be to recommend her seeing a doctor. 3 hours of sleep is very little and not enough for the overwhelmingly majority of people. There is a condition which makes some people be fine with just 4 hour , but that is very rare. http://www.bbc.com/future/story/2015070 ... ely-sleeps

The West is not carabaha where people work 3 hours, have maid and sleep twice a day

For everyone, there is studies showing the iftiin from your smartphones shoots photons straight into your eyes, actually waking you.
Avoid using the phone in bed!

Aisha turn off your phone, laptops & T.V. All that gadgetry is interfering with your body's production of melatonin, the sleep hormone.

I have to disagree Hyper, Insomnia can be a cause of chemical imbalance in the brain. To give advice to pray is not the solution. Even though prayer is good for the iman it doesn't produce the natural substances that needs for being able to sleep.
I was sleep deprived for many years and was prescribed sleeping pills. The doctor confirmed that I had an imbalance of the substances needed for sleep.
