Hassan is great artist given to us by the Maay Nation specifically Bay Jaanale and isha Baidao.

I personally appreciate his art and his Maay language.

My favorite Maay songs...very lovely even though I understand only 0.1%





His SL/Waqooyi songs do not count. That is not real Hassan. The real Hassan is Maay Maay superstar.



The Maay art and tradition should neither be looted nor ignored. It is there and it's time to both accept and embrace it.

Everyone knows his Lander songs.

If we are to appreciate Hassan, we need to do so in a manner that recognizes him for who he is not what others made him to be.

We need to recognize the young Hassan from Bay who had Maay accent and Maay art. He did introduce us to his world and for that we need to appreciate him.

Somaliland songs already have enough coverage, venues and space to be appreciated. The people of Lander are not selfish. We only recognize a tree's roots. Hassan has his roots in Bay and the often overlooked Maay language.

So we should not think of Hassan for Hadraawi lyrics or Mr Bidde or Qays or Sahardiid or even Sangub but Maay writers/composers like Sahal Macalin Isse should be recognized. We should remember the likes of Abwaan Sahal.

We know who tried to erase him and repackage him and we say no. We will recognize Hassan for his Maay talents same way Magool was Khadija.

I remember a show he done n some niggas aa rabay inay fodeyaan n he said 'cabitaan kaliya haysta ma iga xadesiin' n laughed it off. Another show i dont remember his exact word but my man was encouraging every1 to drink kaftan ee ka ahed but odayga is a heavy drinker. Ive seen him more then 5 times he was pissed everytime.
