Why is west african pop music is so popular amongst Africans? it's a horrible music

I went to Kenya a year ago to help out my uncle with his chaat business , and most Kenyans on the streets and train stations I saw were listening to this shitty music called afro beats. I don't know how anyone could listen to that shit, it's like these west Africans decided to combine the worst aspects of hip hop music and turned it into a genre called afro beats. Their language isn't even that nice to listen to when compared to Swahili. And this shit is taking Africa by storm. I've listened to most kinds of music, from japanese folk music to igbo gospels and afobeats is probably the worst genre even if you compare it to most dance music. And now African music is synonymous with this genre and everyone is creating their own afro beats. The standard of music in Africa has become even lower. Fuck Psquare. African american wannabes

Afrobeats is so popular because it is one of the greatest genres of music out there. It has also existed long before Hip-hop so no one is coping hip-hop.
