Imaan Boost
Salaam guys,
I don't know about you guys but I'm definitely in need of an Imaan boost.
My imaan has been very low lately and sometimes all you need is a gentle reminder.
We all get side tracked sometimes/caught up in this world and forget our ultimate goal..jannah.
I wanted to use this thread to post any beautiful reminders/reality check. They could be quotes/video lectures/short stories anything and everything khair.
We're all brothers and sisters (whether or not we always get along on the forums) so let's encourage each other in khair Insh'Allah.
Our time on this earth is precious, let's use it wisely.

Re: Imaan Boost
from my own experience, when my iman is down, happens up and down all the time. i do not focus and waste my energy to fix my wrong doing, i increase my good deeds, specially sadaqa. i found helping others soften my heart and increase my imaan.
for example if what you feeling guilty about is listening songs, and hard to cut off, increase your other good deeds. pray salatul lail, fast monday and thrusday, give sadaqa. you will find your self saying ; why wasting my good deed on this or that and will grow self Alert with time .
hope will help.

Remember the fact that all the wealth and property you accumulate is going to be something that someone else is going to own after your death. I would advice you to remember Allah (SWT) frequently, ponder upon the ayaat and signs of Allah (SWT). Cut off the haraam, help your family, pay zakat, pray your salah, etc.

Re: Imaan Boost
I was listening to this sheekh (aun).
He said, in life we go through 3 stages. First stage is the 9 month we are in our mothers womb. Its so comfortable in there, when we come out, we start crying.
Then the second stage is the time we spent in dunya. Its such a short time, 20,30,50,80 years etc. But we focus so much on those years as if we are going to be here for ever.
Then finally we pass away and the final stage is jannah or jahanam.
We emphases the second stage as the most critical, which will shape up the final stage of al akhira
He says, Lets say u lived on earth for 80 years. And u are going to live in jannah or jahanam for ever, by simple maths you should spend 100% of your daily activities preparing for Aakhira. Thats atleast the logic

Blue/Hyper/HooB/XamarCadcad- Thank you and Khair Ilaahey ha idin siiyo for your contributions.
Blue- I'm just doing some work, Insh'Allah will definitely watch your video ASAP
Hyper- It's true, one should rather focus on doing positive things. I'm going to Insh'Allah try fasting one day a week first (baby steps) and definitely TRY my very best to wake up for salatul layl. You're right, once you start doing acts of khair, you'll wonder why you were investing so much time on crap.
XamarCadcadGuy- Pondering on Allah's beautiful ayahs and trying to understand their meanings is indeed a beneficial act.
HooB- We should all ask ourselves, haday caawa teena noqoto, maxaan Ilaahey la hor tagayna?
