It looks like a case of Sahal Vs Hawiye. He despises the HG because he knows unlike Abgaal, HG can enter Hiiraan physically. Abgaal are not adoptable to central regions. They will not be able to handle so many armed groups in one spot.

Sahal is proposing that Hawadle side with DM or the Nation of Maay (NoM) but at the moment DM have no visionary leader to understand such game. They have two dummies and they both side under Cullusow (Jawar is just pretender of Parliament leader but really he is directly under Cullusow).

So now is not the time to ally with DM.

Hawadle have to keep the Ethiopian army in Hiiraan and use that to limit Mogadishu influence and invasion from HG.

Meanwhile Beledweyne should build an airport if they don't have one and focus on exporting its agricultural produce to Somaliland and Djibouti.

I know already SL imports some veggies and fruits from Hiiraan but the trucks take days if not weeks.









I personally support Hiiraan being on its own and regional bodies should understand the need for Hiiraan to remain solo semi-autonomous state. Upper Shabelle should be added to Southwestern State with Baidao as the capital. Hiiraan is not only a region that borders Ethiopia but it is where the Shabelle enters Somalia. Once the river is dammed, Hiiraan could be offered incentives including a dam on the border similar to the current Abay Dam (much much smaller) along the Sudanese border to counter Mogadishu protest.
