Thegoodsheperd come in
Waryaa when did MJ get to Bakool and how did we get there? And what are our numbers like? Is it safe for any MJ to visit?
Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
MJ used to buy votes.Raxaweyn is a confederation.
There are alot of lost people.Shati guduud waa Warsangeli.

Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
Wallahi I heard that same thing about Shati gaduud. Supposedly Digil iyo Mirifle are just a confederation of Hawiye,Dir and Darod subclans who moved south looking for pasture for their herds and that they mixed with the remnants of some Oromo qabiils(probably why they speak Af Maay). But who knows man, the real story could be way different.Django wrote:MJ used to buy votes.Raxaweyn is a confederation.

Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
It's just like when the Warsangeli Garad Xamar Gale conquered Mogadishu way back in the day his warsangeli clansmen became Abgaal.
"Hamar Gale was born into a royal Warsangali Darod family, as the son of Gerad Dhidhin, the founder of the Warsangali Sultanate. He succeeded his father as Sultan in 1311.
Hamar Gale's popular nickname "Hamar Gale" or "Xamar Gale" first came about after he departed his clan's traditional strongholds in northern modern-day Somalia for the ancient southeastern city of Mogadishu (popular known as "Xamar") and its environs—an area to which his sobriquet is a direct reference. His nickname thus literally translates as "Mogadishu settler."
After Hamar Gale eventually left Mogadishu, he is believed to have then established a permanent settlement elsewhere. His modern descendants that still reside in the region between the southern middle Shebelle River and the Benadir zone have preserved the Warsangali clan name denoting their ancestral origin. However, they have since completely integrated into the local Abgaal, the main Hawiye sub-clan in Mogadishu"

LOL you gotta be f-king kidding with me? Are you saying warsangeli abgaal was originally warsangeli daarod? Dude do u realise that warsangeli abgaal are alot more than Warsangeli daarod? They are like the second largest subclan of Abgaal. So your story doesn't make sense.
Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
How's one sub sub clan of hawiye bigger than a subclan of Daarood???

Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
dude come on man. Surely you agree with me that Maxamuud saleeban is larger than lets say Baadicade for a example. This is the same thing. Warsangeli daarod aint that numerous
Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
Yea I agree with you on that baadicade part, but c'mon warsangeli aren't as small as you think, they're not like let's say Beesha awrtable population wise. I admit there are a lot of Harti Abgaal but not as much as warsangeli Daarood. I don't think we're gonna agree, so let's agree to disagree lol. Warsangeli is a major Daarood tribe bro they're not some langaabs

Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
All i know is Warsangeli Abgaal are 100% abgaal. It would been used against them otherwise. Besides we have assimilated others but they're called Mugiis just to deferentiate them from real Abgaals.Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
Here are some myths.
Sacad Siciid is Reer Sacad Makahiil
Harti Abgaal is from Warsengeli
Ceyr Ayanle is reer Diini

Re: Thegoodsheperd come in
MJ got to Bakool in two ways, one was as culimo, xer from Mudug moved to Ceelbarde in the late 1880's. The other way was as veterans of the italian campaigns in Ethiopia, many of whom fought at Adowa and also fought the british in 1941. So part if them are xer and another part Buraashadley, because they came only having water canteens. They won 1 out of 3 seats in Xudur in the 1960s.
Buraashadley also include some Leelkase and Carab, not only MJ.
