i dont believe it but i do not mind it at all and i enjoy my day off, cause it's official day off here in qatar.

no one knows exactly when prophet mohammed born, day and month, it's just a guess and even if it was accuatate he didnt celebrate it or his sahabah. plus never understood remembering date of birth some one who is death SAW.

i enjoy official lecture here and i listen to it, dont mind it of others celebrate and i can join them if i feel like it.

The way I seen it celebrated in Mogadishu it was them reading Quran, Subac, and every night towards mawlid or that month, every night they would do 'nabi amaan.' I can't lie I enjoyed it so much, at night I would even stand outside to listen. This was only done in sufi masjid.

Tbh, I haven't ever got involved either in the West or Somalia in celebrating Mawlid. Whether it is wrong or right I honestly just leave that argument. I think as Muslims we have bigger things to worry about and discuss.

I agree also with hyper .If it doesn't hurt , join the party is my take. I am against those who wanna shut them down though
