Prophet Ibrahim CS to his father
idh qaala li abiyhi yaa abati lima ta’Åbudu maa laa yasma’U wa laa yubSiru wa laa yugniy ‘Anka shay’aa
yaa abati in-niy qad jaa-aniy minal ‘Ilmi maa lam ya’tika fat-tabi’Åniy ahdika SiraaTan sawiy-yaa
yaa abati laa ta’Åbudish shayTaan* in-nash shayTaana kaana lir raHmaani ‘ASiy-yaa
yaa abati in-niy akhaafu ay yamas-saka ‘Adhaabum minar raHmaani fa takuuna lish shayTaani waliy-yaa
O my father! Verily! There has come to me of knowledge that which came not unto you. So follow me. I will guide you to a Straight Path. O my father! Worship not Satan. Verily! Stan has been a rebel against the Most Beneficent (Allah). O my father! Verily! I fear lest a torment from the Most Beneficent (Allah) overtake you as that you become a companion of Satan (in the Hellfire)."
Luqmaan al Hakim to his Son
yaa bunay-ya in-nahaa in taku mithqaala Hab-batim min khardalin fa takun fiy Sakhratin aw fiys samaawaati aw fiyl arDi ya'ti bihal-laah* in-nal-laaha laTiyfun khabiyr.
yaa bunay-ya aqimiS Salaata wa'mur bil ma'Åruufi wanha 'Anil munkari waSbir 'Alaa maa aSaabak* in-na dhaalika min 'Azmil umuur
wa laa tuSa'I-'Ir khad-daka lin-naasi wa laa tamshi fiyl arDi maraHaa* in-nal-laaha laa yuHib-bu kul-la mukhtaalin fakhuur
waqSid fiy mashyika wagDuD min Sawtik* in-na ankaral aSwaati la Sawtul Hamiyr
AlhamdulilahO my son! If the evil deed is equal to the weight of a mustard-seed, and even if it is in a rock, or in the heavens, or wherever in the earth, Allah will bring it forth; indeed Allah knows all the minutest things, the All Aware."
O my son! Keep the prayer established, and enjoin goodness and forbid from evil, and be patient upon the calamity that befalls you; indeed these are acts of great courage."
And do not contort your cheek while talking to anyone, nor boastfully walk upon the earth; indeed Allah does not like any boastful, haughty person. And walk moderately and soften your voice; indeed the worst voice is the voice of the donkey
