I watched David Beckham in Djibouti last night
On BBC iPlayer.He went to a refugee camp called Cali Cade.The people there said they fled the Al Shabab fighting in Somalia.What I want to know is why Djibouti.There's PL,SL,Kenya and even Ethiopia which are way closer places to flee to.Maxaa all that way geeyey

Eventhough Djibouti is a sovereign country , my guess would be the UNHCR moves people around depending on capacity in a certain region , or what have you . Cali Cadde has always been a refugee camp for Somalis ever since the somali civil war .

The reason he went to Djibouti is because neither Kenya nor Ethiopia wants the refugees from Somalia. They went them gone.
Djibouti doesn't mind the little fund from the UN even though its refugees are 1/20th of what Kenya hosts and 1/10th of Ethiopia's.
If Kenya and Ethiopia allowed him in then that means they encourage more Wanlawein to flock in with their suicide belts.
