What has he done for Somaliland? Even in Somalia, at least their government has made some good improvements in Mogadishu...they're building roads and developed a lot of the city's infrastructure.

At the same time are the people mature enough to pick good leaders. Perhaps one should not rush to make judgements and realise third world is volatile place, external threats and internal uncertainty. Focus on education, infrastructure and economic progress and focus less on fat politician. The environment is too volatile to attract these idealistic leaders it's bound to fail. Rather have a fatty who doesn't make too much unnecessary movement.Thuganomics wrote:Respect is earned though, you can't just respect a leader just because he is a leader. They are all entitled to a period of restraint at the start of their office, but if they abuse their positions. Then it's.. Had a serious disagreement with a relative on that point...He was looking at it from a religious point of view like...do not rebel against the leader...We got to the SNM as a point of reference and things got heatedThuganomics wrote:you can't just respect a leader just because he is a leader. They are all entitled to a period of restraint at the start of their office, but if they abuse their positions. Then it's.. The religious brothers are confusing leaders of old who were ruling by the Quran and the Sunna of the Prophet and they quote the aya "oh you who believe obey Allah obey his messenger and those who have authority over you" .Those leaders led by sacred decree with fatwas from the Quran and Sunna they felt was for the best or Ishtihad if they could not find the ruling in the Quran or the Sunna. But the leaders of today are secularlarist who don't deserve the same respect and restraint that leaders of old did.Skippa wrote:Had a serious disagreement with a relative on that point...He was looking at it from a religious point of view like...do not rebel against the leader...We got to the SNM as a point of reference and things got heatedThuganomics wrote:you can't just respect a leader just because he is a leader. They are all entitled to a period of restraint at the start of their office, but if they abuse their positions. Then it's..
