Apparently in Kyrgyzstan its ok to kidnap your future wife and hold her against her will.

What a barbaric tradition! Women are not wild animals ready for hunting. Selling women in the name of dowry is not better either.

Apparently, this was something Somalis did a while back then. A quite few including elders from my family said stories of this. Not sure if this was before Islam came to Somalia or not.
