Bantu countries appear to have well disciplined army. They have tough and brand new looking military uniforms, boots, helmets, gear, vest and so on. They look after their military and wears them to keep them disciplined. They have new looking military vehicles and hand held guns imported from Western countries etc. They're much more equipped than the Horns of Africa.
The Horns of Africa aka Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea and Ethiopia on the other hand still have the 70s old and rusty AK47s. They have second hand military uniform that is torned apart but barely wears them. They don't wear helmets or bulletproof vest nor own them and sometimes wear their average clothing on frontlines even with the typical Horner-Yemeni sandels. They still have broken and outdated cold war era T62 tanks and APCs etc. Defense ministers/officers don't look after them or not keeping the armed force healthy.
Even though, they [Horns] are all USA and other Western countries most important allies in Africa which makes it even more confusing.
What is the reason behind this?
How come do Bantu countries have more equipped army than Horns of Africa?

First of all ak 47 is efficient and consist of only 3 parts =easy to maintain .No2 the bantu militaries are always drawn upon by the "white man" who equips and funds them for UN operations. The british have their Nigeria and Kenya , the French Tchad and Senegal .Bantus are show off , if they get a little money they wanna show it to the world by buying brand new toys , the arabs are the same . The Afro asiatic rarely gets any money and when he does nobody knows where it went
{ a whole tribe has eaten it with nothing to show for }

Somalia is on a weapon embargo signed by the UN when the civil war broke out. In other words Somalia is not allowed to purchase weapons, uniforms and other military artillery.
