Why Should Sunnis in Somalia be afraid of Competition?

I mean why should they fear Shias in Somalia? We allowed radical sects from Arabia to infiltrate Somalia by way of Islamic aid groups, funding of madarassas and did missionary by using humanitarian aid. In the end we got radicals like the Islamic Courts and Shabab.

What is to be feared of so called Shias in Somalia? If the Sunni clergy believe that their hold is strong over the masses, why worry about Shia?

Somalis are already struggling their clan divisions, only stupid would bring an other religious disaster. that does not mean shia is not good or UN Islamic but there is no room for them in the horn it will create deadly conflicts between the two sects. Some times I wonder why People fight over madhab. I didn't know my madhab or sect when I was back home, and I still don't care.

it does not really make any sense to be shia or Sunni. if I believe the 5 pillars of Islam and 6 of the imam why should I care the political differences between Ali bin Abu talib vs Abu bakr ,Omar and othman? all of them had legitimate rights to succeed Mohammed, if Ali lost three Nominations/elections like Faysal Ali waraabe that does not mean Other companions hated him. At the other hand if Sunnis believe that any Muslim can replace any Muslim leader, why most of Sunni countries are under family kingdoms or family dictators. the same system they rejected when shia suggested the preservation of Mohammad (csw) bloodline 1400 years ago.

If Iran was not using religion to export its hate for their sunni rivals I would have no problem with it .The tribalism of the middle East is religion , we cannot afford that .

One of the gods blessings bestowed upon maryooleey is belonging to one madhab, having one language and being one ethnicity

You can't believe how Iran controls the arabs based on their madhab divisions....in Bahrain the king has paid hundreds of millions of dollars to the egyptian writers in ordee to create a bahrainian national drama against the Persian expension....nothing had worked for these stupid people who would like to eat an iranian food than their own traditional food!

If you let this, you will reach a day where each somali clan will kill each other just like Iraq where the same tribes with one tribal sheikh kill each other on daily basis

Don't compare this to our extremism pls....this is just a phenomenon and will disappear one day

Same sunni tribes converted to shiism

Look the iranian al sistani telling the Arab pm "I see...."

Because Somalis have always been Sunnis. And some even go as far as calling Shia's Gaalo.

But Allahu Yaclam.

It did started as political difference but now it much more than that. For example they (Some) believe that Abii Bakar, Cumar, Cuthmaan & Caa'isha RC are in hell! Ciyaadu Billaah!

Who knows if they are in held or janna. Some shia may go too far but I don't think majority of shias believe that bullshit.

There is no such thing as sunni and shiite those are titles that divide the ummah, there is only muslim but if you want to make it complex you can break down in sects, humans always make things more complicated then they are.

Sahal,

Adeer, just because the Shia are better organized and listen to their ulema doesn't mean they are beholden to one country.

We can not turn a blind eye to the exports of new sectarian thoughts from Saudi Arabia and the other Khaleej countries to Somalia.
