Somaliland's iris based biometric registration is the leading civil registration system in the world. You can't register your self more than once with different identity.

I don't think this case is fair nor based on any law in the land. First of all, the registration authority needs to be an independent body not an arm of the Interior.

We do not know if the concerned citizen was arrest simply because he was a supporter of opposition.

There should be better ways to handle such cases and his freedom should be restored right away.

Better way is a fine or court process.

I question the transparency of such.

It is still a system within the Gov and no doubt opposition supporters will still face Government resources, interference, manipulation, alienation, extortion, etc.

The system can be as good as it can be but as long as its not independent, it does not do its objective.

Technology alone is not the solution. SL needs education, cultural and attitude revolutionary in order to over come corruption, nepotism and favoritism,
