Don't be too surprised, only cadaan people know about the benefit of investment, I did a contract stint at Islamic Bank UK while ago, it would horrify you to know that they use 80's 90's technologies yet gross billions, they repeatedly turned down to invest until due to security issues they began to be fined by the regulators, were as the western counterpart banks I did a stint in are upgrading from very recent technology all the time, if a device comes out that shaves off just 5ms of latency they will spend millions and upgrade the whole infrastructure.

In Somalia you will come across several millionaires but the fockers won't invest a bit of money into that dusty ditch of a road right in front of his business, you won't even find basic parking, its not just Somalis but foreigners in general, if its making some bucks that they are happy with, any talks about improving it so they can bank more will fall on deaf ears, so if I was you I wouldn't bother

They are too risk averse for Somalis that I know many can do it for free, they could easily hire professionals for a mere pittance just for a few days that would turn the whole place around if they want collateral

Thats true here in the US also. Western countries are very forward thinking.

Somalis and most Africans aren't as competitive as Cadaan people, and their customers put up with lack of innovation. I think it might be cultural or something.

But things are slowly changing even in Somalia. Internet companies back home now offer reliable connections at a very reliable price.

I must agree with this idea. If things are created in terms of perfection, Somalinet could have became a legendary website.
But, people would rather be hoard rather than voicing their ideas.
