I would not recommend it.

Ebay is not profitable business unless you have two things;

A) Bigger capital than that, more volume/products
B) Exclusive access to certain product

Their fees and shipping cost will kill you. Most people like free shipping and even when you add shipping to your margin, still they will find cheaper ones.

The goal on ebay is to get access to product that no one else has, sell it by the volume, offer free shipping and reduce cost by focusing on small items that can move fast and hard to obtain for other sellers. why small? Coz small items cost less to ship it.

The goal should be increase volume (buy at wholeprice ex $1.10/per say Nurse watches then flip it for $5-$6 + free postage). At first focus on increasing margin by small fraction but over time increase it as you get more ratings.

It is better to have your own online website.

Even Amazon is better than Ebay in terms of making money if you know what to sell and how to sell on Amazon because unlike Ebay, Amazon will limit competition/sellers.

More people make money on Amazon than Ebay these days. I have done online biz.

Sumu, it is the business idea that matters, not the money in the first stage when you're starting a business. Find out the business idea first. Figure out the supply and demand; the cost and expected profit in the first few years. Don't expect too much profit in the 1st few years. Just make sure you get it established and get a handle on it.
