That's more like bed and break fast= Albeerko.
Hotel is Something like The Ambassador, Maansoor.
Sure its not restaurant because restaurants have no beds.
It's not a hotel nor a restaurant but it has potentials. This is the first investment for the guy and as you know you got to start from somewhere. From here the only way is up.
Maydh first needs population and the best way to get population is start plotting the land. Put up few fences, perimeters and you know Somalis are like bird who saw a worm. Once they see square plots of land, they come in their thousands.
I would pitch to the likes of Summer Time hotel. They invest not only in the restaurant side of things but fishing too, which could be used for their two popular restaurant/hotel in Hargeisa.
Fishing is huge industry and Pontus Marine already exports to Ethiopia, Yemen and other places.
Also what is needed in that area is camping not just hotels. Some times it's best to keep certain things natural and as it was. Few professional tents can do the job and especially attract foreign tourists.
An airstrip is must so the fish can be delivered to main markets in the Horn and beyond.
We need small team that is well organized to manage Maydh while separate teams are given access to other spots. We shouldn't all be in the same place either over crowing, competing with one another or neglecting other areas. There has to be a strategy.
Another thing I like to see is the likes of Omaar company to invest in local resources rather than import tuna from Thailand. For every km they import, they should buy an equal amount from local market.
To improve fishing there has to be:
A) More robust coast guards and surf guards in order to improve security and safety thus increase production, confidence and awareness.
B) Better energy, solar stations, where portal fridges, portal lanterns and other equipment including GPS and cell phones can be charged.
