:deadrose: Loooool walaahi you are fuking spooky, the way you know me  As long as I can remember, it was private English classes. It's called Adlas in Hargeisa and just private in Borama. I now think Adlas was meant to be Atlas! Certain private schools were only for the posh kids who had pple abroad or knew they will one day go to ingriiska like moi dee ahah.

Walaahi al cadiim it didn't go to waste and I was speaking decent English by the time I landed on Heathrow.

On Wednesday it was dialogue, waala is ku tufi jiray. That ree Burco girl comes to mind, everyone had a similar accent.

There was three major private Schools in burao. Universal (my school) Nation and and New Nation. My School Universal was the oldest one and we had better reachers compare to the other two schools. At first I was the youngest and the brightest in the school. Thanks to my teacher Ali janaale. In reality I didn't even know what the hell is English before I started learning it. But I had the feeling that its something to do with is xariifis.

Yeh says the girl who use to go to class with a qaraa qaraa qoosh stained shiid  Inaabti meesha waa loo sii labisan jiray. Maanta waad fiishtay-naysaa the girls would say. Iyakuna iga wala khatar bay iska so dhigi jireen. Don't tell me you use to pick on the teacher with your crocodile hingriisi mise you were by then, a certified goon from North weezy?

I am surprised that your French accent hasn't had any impact on your anglee. There is no trace of it walahi.

 These guys think we are talking about actual schools, the private ones. We are talking about after school English tuition classes, for the sole purpose of learning English!

Aishah- You should do a "When you first came to Qurbaha" thread for the likes of Yusuf, Sumu, adeero Gegiroor, Skips and others who were old enough to recall funny stories.

I can imagine some of the hilarious tales already
