SL 25 year anniversary

Post by TheFuturist »

In May 2016 it will be 25 years since SL independence. I think SL needs to do a serious reality check on itself to assess where it is today and where it will go in the next 25 years. SL's estimated population by 2041 (25 years) is 8.5 million people.

What will SL look like in 25 years time. Will it be independent, recognised and flourishing economically. Or will it be autonomous and still begging for independence & small concessions from the failed government in Mogadishu? How will South Somalia and Puntland deal with SL in the next 25 years?

AwrasTaale, Ahmed Gurey, LiquidHYDROGEN, Garad13, Xplay, LeJusticier, Advo, Rambie, SuldaanOfSanaag, BenevolentGaraad, GubanOgoJSL, BlueLion, MujahidAishah, SahanGalbeed, Smooth, AGENT447, whitehartlane, Games, theyuusuf143 .... opinions needed!

If only we realised the military/technological/political/economic future that is coming :wow: then perhaps we wouldn't be mindlessly fighting over duty villages in the middle of nowhere.

Walahi 25 years time illhay baa oog what will happen.

A reality check for Somaliland is to first start with its internal administration because SL is plagued by corruption and nepotism. We need to stamp that out if SL has any chance of flourishing.

Peace is the foundation
Administration is the structure that keeps the house upright
We have the foundation but we don't have a solid structure. The taxes from berbera and wajaale can be put to good use.if the govt wasn't corrupt. We also need to start taxing these multi million dollar companies income tax

Roads are coming along and it's now time to start building regional airports so that the far east of SL ceeri is easier to reach.
There has to be employment opportunities for the youth the govt need to show them that there is hope and a future for them in SL has the kids think the west is the promised land. I think there should be manadatory military training for the youth

On SL independence and recognition is something that i hope for. We can no longer stay in limbo it's been 25 years can we carry on another 25 years like this?
No something has to give we need to start looking at alternatives. Another generation living in hope is not something that I want to see that would be heartbreaking for all

Somaliland ha noolato
Cadowgeeda ha jaabto :sland:

reer koonfur are driving somalilanders into the arms of addis as unfortunately the only alternative for somaliland independence is uniting with ethiopia not zoomalia (ethiopia even more than SL itself is against somaliland and somalia reuniting )

@TheFuturist

Why you gotta make niggas depressed like that by comparing Zoomalia to the developed world? :wow:

Anyway, to the topic at hand, Somaliland, Puntland and Djibouti must be disbanded. We must unite if we even have a remote chance at developing our country. Look how sad this shit is, we can't even our own build roads, we can't build highways, schools and advanced hospitals. Why are we in 2016 introducing tax and just started building roads and new airports? Why must we import foreign workers to build our nation? Also, Somaliland what happened? I applaud the peace and prosperity you've so far achieved but what do you have to honestly show for it? Why haven't you industrialised and developed? You're still a backwater region of the planet the world doesn't care about. This goes for all of Somalia.

The sad part is when we have peace, what's next? How are we going to develop industries that will compete with the likes of Germany, the U.S and Japan? Just how? Germany has worldwide industries such as Audi, Mercedes, BMW etc and is the number one exporter of manufactured vehicles. The U.S has mega companies such as Dell and Apple and is a major manufacturing centre. Japan has a robotics industry that is second to none and if memory serves me well is the second biggest exporter of manufactured vehicles. And don't even get me started on Australia, Canada, and China. How the fuck do we even compete?! :mindblown:

Niggas out here arguing about some shitty roads being built in dusty villages and getting excited about elections when that should have been a basic requirement of a nation from the get go. The fact that we're getting happy we're doing the most basic shit such as building roads, airports and holding elections and hailing this as "progress" shows how Somalis know fuck all and clearly demonstrates how fucked we are for the future. :snoop:
