When will Somalis support each other?
When will the Somali people realize that we are all we got? Literally, we are in this together. Either we sink or swim together. There's no grey area. And that goes for the folks in the homeland & diaspora.

Re: When will Somalis support each other?
I get so much love and support from Somalis, and I return this as well. We are indeed all in this together ! I do draw a line though, I don't stick my neck out for just any Somali, they have to be worth it, but if you are talking about small things, yes I do that for All somalis regardless of how stupid or hopeless they are.EmirCali wrote:When will the Somali people realize that we are all we got? throughout my life so far my best homies or female homies were all Somalis, but I use to make the mistake and stick my neck out for all Somalis, this just turned into resentment when they threw it back in my face, however if you are selective really find some golden Somalis that enrich your life.

There is a phrase in america we use, that can answer this question, it goes like this "when hell freezes over".

People can still be united without having same politics, tell me why cadaans united when they have different political parties, different nations and even continents, they just unite as a people.whitehartlane wrote:i think he meant politically..
Somalis need to do that, people before politrics. I don't need to wait for fat loser in Mogadishu to shake hands with fat siilanyo in order to break bread with my brothers from both region.

We need to stop politicizing everything from tribe, to region, to dhaanto, every masjid every wedding every social gathering is being politicized, its absolutely nonsense.

We don't all need to fly the blue UN flag. That is not the true definition of unity.
There are more important things the Somali people are missing including; knowledge (diin included), humanity, empathy, mercy, consideration, ethics, etc.
Those should be addressed before politics. We think everything is politics and all solutions are politics.
I often tell my friends from the south, don't come to me with let's add Silanyo and Hassan or Gaas or Madobe but horta can you and I put our wallets together for a cause. Let it be business, philantropy or whatever but if we can't agree on that nggz stop wasting my time with calacaal over "Somaliweyn" magic bullet will fix our issues.
This is what I have noticed.
Only Somali akhwaano know support and union.
I seen them share businesses, shares, masjid, greetings, family times.
They are good example.
Wan ka so horjeeda wixi ged dheer iyo ku gabanba uu so fula shayga caydhe Somalweyn.
That old expired card has to go otherwise nimanyo accept the state of affairs.

Somalis already support eachother. Djibouti sent her army to help somalia, Somaliland is accepting thousands of refugees from Somalia. Somali are helping themselves

Re: When will Somalis support each other?
i dont follow you two (adali & awrastaale)
correct me if i am wrong my perspective POLITICS/TRIBAL ASIDE is that somali people in generally are quit sympathetic and positive to somalis within or outside their tribe. unlike ethiopians or hindi who when in foreign countries avoid tribes other than their own, we somalis seek each others presence and find comfort in seeing another somali who is doing well. I find that our people are some of the most welcoming, generous and above all open hearted to their own fellow countrymen.
thats politics aside.
the major issue that devide two brother from the same mother is clan politics, every child, mother, uncle and neighbour is infected and their is absolute no impartiality. you are either group A or group B and whatever effects your group effects you simultaneously without explanation.
if i went on a train trip and saw a somali man seated with a galmudug flagged tshirt(not that i think they have a flag) do you think i would think twice before sitting down without excusing myself and follow it with a handshake and the islsmic greeting..
i suggest you guys stop the bs negativity that we are such horrible people..politics is politics and being somali is my greatest feeling i feel indestructible arrogant self righteous yet humble and forgiving...
EMIRCALI'S THREAD was about somalis supporting each other politically..so stop derailing the thread and answer him..
my reply normaly would have been, the day tottenham hotspurs win the league title but having considered the fact tht we are infact going to win the title this year i would somalis will start supporting each other when arsenal win the title...i can guarantee you that it is not this or next decade.

Re: When will Somalis support each other?
Faroole sat down with Caalin (EX Galmudug president, waliba the worst) and Ahlu Sunnah (An Ceyr guy) to sign Garowe 1 and 2, so did Gaas with Guled, your greatest leader C/Yusuf before forming Puntland wanted old EX Galmudug to be part of it, yet here you are talking about flags and taking a seat, don't you find that ironic sxb?whitehartlane wrote:i

We all help each other already, just that it's not enough and we never think what happens beyond the day after tomorrow.
The problem is all those corrupt leaders going crazy with their greediness.
