When i was 13 and just moved to the united states, i use to walk over to the park and shoot hoops, sometimes with my friends but most of the time alone. One day i was alone, and i saw a bunch of older kids playing football. I asked i could join you, you were all white, I was not. One of you asked where i was from, what religion i was. When you heard i was muslim, you said 'ohh that's a cool religion, i even tried fasting one day in ramadan, man that was hard. Sure you can play with us.'
I still remember that till this day, i'm 32. I still remember your face, your smile as you spoke to me. When i hear all the hate on the internet, tv or in the public, i just ignore it. I know most americans are like you, not afraid of something different, reasonable, open to new things, and accepting of others.
I never saw you guys after that game but you had an impact on my life.

I wonder how many of you reading this, whether you belong to Beesha Caqli-Dugaag or Beesha Unuka Iska Leh, or Beesha Abtirsigayga Carab Buu Galaa; i wonder how many of would show similar tolerance & generosity of spirit to:

Look at the dehumanizing language being used. That is what happens when religious dogma is introduced to the brains of young children and teenagers, it causes them to develop religious exceptionalism(me and my kind are going to heaven, and as such we are "better), it causes them to look down on their fellow human beings, after all, when you teach little Cali and Caasho that little Jane and Johnny is going to hell when they grow up because they are "gaalo", well don't be surprised if lttle Cali and Caasho grow up to be the shitty dugaag and sorry-excuse-for-a-human-beings that we see here on Somali-Net as they call for the forcible expulsion and pogrom of Somali-Bantus, as they call for extermination of Alwaites(who have opened their doors for Somalis at a time when no other Muslim country would).

Again, read that anecdote above, the muslim kid is 13 years old, the most awkward of teenage years, and a prime candidate to be bullied, yet not only do they welcome him with open arms, but they welcome his religion with open arms and commend and compliment. Why? Because Secularism, motherfaarax, that's why. Why? Because Progressive Politics, mother-hubbard, that's why. Why? Because liberal'ism, that's why.

Secular is a term specific to European societies,
especially those which had an all-powerful Church in the past.

Secularists were those who wanted to remove/limit the stranglehold
the Church had on society. They later moved on to attempting to remove
all traces of religion from public life.

We have never been secular. We are Sunni and we do not have clerical hierarchy or an
all-powerful "mosque".

those who see sufism as a different sect are those who are also against many other aspects,
and are extremists and narrow minded.

This is absolutely ridiculous...Now compare this guy's punishment to that Saudi religous cleric who raped, tortured, and killed his own 5-year old daughter in the most brutal of ways, because he said "he doubted her virginity". Final verdict? The guy got 8 years and 600 lashes, but that was only after a major public outcry, officials originally only fined him and gave him a couple of months in prison.

Honestly, hearing about these things really make lose faith in humanity and the most ridiculous of all is that Saudi Arabia is on the Human Rights Committee in the UN, like WTF.
