Abdirahman Ali Abdi, Dahabshiil General Manager (remittance and exchange department), visited the towns of Borama and Tog-Wajale in the regions of Awdal and Gabiley respectively, and assured locals their support.
In Borama he announced three separate donations worth more than $58,000 to help the drought-stricken communities in Awdal and Salal.
He said the donation includes $10,000 to kick-start a drought relief campaign for the severely drought-affected population at risk of food insecurity in the regions. While he allocated over $47,000 for a conference hall that can accommodate thousands of students for Amoud University (AU).
