War maxaaan aduunka ka noolnahay ? This video was filmed literally 2 generations ago. Not even Djibouti city can come close to this let alone other stable somali towns. Shit is sad.

Built the Italians. It was a leftover of the colonial times. Now Somalis will be re-building their country using their own ingenuity.

To be honest most parts of Mogadishu has recovered and doesn't no longer look war torn, I'm talking dabka, nr 4, maka al mukarama, hamarweyne and many many areas, the only difference I see in this video and today's Mogadishu are statues missing and some buildings that are gone..

Don't always be critical to your country, bear in mind that's it's been in war, either civil or terrorism for the last 25 years.
Mogadishans has done pretty well building the city with mortels and bombings coming down steadily.. Someone people even argue Mogadishu is nicer aesthetically then many non war torn countries/ cities in Africa..

Reer Mogadishu have the brightest future out of all other somalis. Non-mogadishu somalis are literally hopeless. I feel sad for them.

I am more than convinced that scientific socialism is the answer to our woes (al-sheydhaan, tribalism etc).

Susu00: taalooyinkii Xamar dhamaan ma la burburiyey? I disagree with your assertion on aesthetics, Xamar is in a horrible shape. Nothing beats the 1940-80s architecture!

I am planing to visit Xamar, Hargeisa and the blessed Borame this coming month. I need your advice; I know a few people in the government and I have been offered to stay at the madaxtooyada/ and that area. I also want to visit other parts of Xamar (in fact everywhere in Xamar). It will be a dream come true to walk from Nr 4 to Bilaajo or Sinai to Digfeer. I was told that if I am seen in central xamar/ dawladda area, the al-sheydhaans could target me. What is your advice?

I gotta admit Xamar was indeed a lovely city.
