Marrying & divorcing young

Post by TheFuturist »

The Somali government needs to distribute birth control throughout the country. This is just not fair on the small children who are born into destitution.

LooL if u think this is bad, u should see the Somalis in the west.

Since the start of this year, i have been invited to 4 different weddings in my city. And these are people i know. And they are all under 25yrs old.

There are probably thousands more all over.

Somalis have 'cudurka guursashada' and having kids.

Not saying there is anything wrong with marrying and having kids, but does everyone need....3+ children?

Destitution has nothing to do with children but Islamically a man should have a job prior to marrying.

Birth control is not too big for Somalis but they should be made aware of family planning and encouraged to get educated and do something for society. The argument of children and poverty is a very touchy subject Islamically and would put off most Somalis. I would work hard to better myself and society not necessarily because I believe I cannot feed my kids. Some people have millions and then lose it just like that. Money and Capital is a haphazard commodity. What do you do then? Kill your kids. A lot of Somalis lose their kids to illnesses and diseases.

So, better we talk about how to better society.

Family planning and birth control are not Haram. You should only have kids if u can support them financially, emotionally and can give them everything they need.

Sure, there is only 15 million Somalis in this world, but thats still no excuse for some to have 5+ kids before they are 40yrs old.

Just saying....

You lot scream birth control but the situation on the ground is birth control is readily avaliable back home providing proof that you are married and have the money to pay for it

There are Long term contraceptive back home but they cost big money. I don't see a farax shelling out $300 for the implant. Birth control has to be made avaliable and FREE of charge until then Somalis can talk the talk for the white charities.

Edna and hargeisa General charge money for birth control even tho Somalis back home are not a fan of condoms as they think it promotes pre-martial sex which is bullshit.

So true.. I've heard so many story's about young women using natural remedys to cause abortions, apparently honey mixed with a few types of painkillers and a bit of mosquito spray causes a woman to miss carriage. It's tragic, risky and very sad.

I myself have a relative in Somalia, she married at a young age and has 5 kids and she's 32 or something.. Last summer she confided in me and told me she doesn't want anymore kids and her husband is not carefull when they have sex. I actually left her some of my birth controls and now and again try to find someone flying to Somalia to give them to her. I rather do that than knowing she might one day use one of these awful natural remedys..

If your already struggling with feeding 3 kids and providing food and clothes, what on earth gives you the right to have another 2? When you barely could afford feeding 3? Does these children deserve to be born into a household where hunger is a part of their everyday life ?

Forget Somalia, I've seen families in London feeding their children bread and butter. Macaroni with ketchup.

If you can't provide for them and give them the life they deserve, don't have them. Or atleast wait until you can afford it.

Inaayah, sis all I'm saying is, you shouldn't refrain having kids out of poverty. I think having children is a natural longing that everyone will have sooner or later and of course I know myself, I would have a child or two with financial difficulties too because that's a natural instinct.

However, I've seen families who can't afford to feed 3 children properly, with that I mean, fruits, vegetables, nutrition and etc. These families carry on to have another 3.

The amount of children you have should be according to what you can afford to give them. By all means have 1 or 2 with a weak economy, but 5,6?

There is something called 'responsibility'. Ilaahay samac iyo basar buu kusiiyey, so use ur head and think.

U can't just have 20 kids and say 'God would provide for them'.

You are condemning ur kids to life of misery and abject poverty. Society suffers. Including me as a Tax payer.

Whenever there is Qaaraan aruuris, for 'dad Soomaali oo kudhiban, meeshaash iyo meeshaas' and i am expected to pay $100.

So i am paying for someone else's irresponsibly.

SMH.
