Renting a car in Italy

Post by Theguardian »

Help out a sister guys - I'm going on a mini break in Italy and would prefer to rent a car for 8 days - I know the pubic transport there is crap.

So am flying with Ryanair  - I checked their rental car services and it is pretty cheap - so I am bit confused because all together it is £107 including the refund insurance.

It is there hidden chargers?

Where in Italy are you going? Public transport is good in most places, the bigger cities.

To be fair, for example in Milan and Rome your better off travelling by public transport otherwise you will be spending all your time being stuck in traffic, public transport is more time efficient

Near Bologna - I know over there the transport is limited.

If your husband is going with you, just be his woman and agree with him. Its ceeb in the Somali culture naag dheeraynayso when she is going to her dumaashiyaal. WFT is wrong with you. Didn't your mom teach you the ABCDs of being a wife. Just be miskiinad. If they put you on a donkey, ride it joyously and shut-up. The family might already have a plan in place for you and they will be upset islaan fag faglaynayso hadii ay arkaan. Tan yaa wax usheego oo islaan ah.

Basically what I meant was, that price is normal for a small car, but they're going to need a credit card for deposit.

Tough crowd these days.

But I don't have a credit card - I have just a current card. S I can't hire a car without a credit card?

Seems about right sxb, an 8 day rental car in a busy week in Bologna is about £60-70 plus the refundable insurance which covers damage collisions and against theft as well, so all in all 107 quid is a money well spent walahi. Nothing worse than dealing with these greasy haired Italians and their weird lingo on public transportation.....Chat to Sussu, she is an Italiano and will give you some tips and teach you some useful phrases  I want you to surprise him when you order things in Italian. Anyway, enjoy yourself Huno and bring that Juliet in you ahahah! :rose:

Also, check this: http://theplanetd.com/bologna-things-to-do/ Just make sure to not get stuck in the city and take a drive through the Ramanga country side at large
:lawd: You should check the bay of Naples if you get a chance.

They'll definetely want a deposit! Some rental companies take cash deposits but not all. My local car rental (Europcar) takes £250 refundable deposit. Some don't take cash and will want a credit card. You should read the small print.
