Awkward situation

For some reason lately I'm interested in getting married to my cousin. She lives back home in Somalia and I've always wanted to marry a first cousin
Some say getting married to your cousin is a nightmare if things go downhill...but divorce inshallah will never be an option for me.
So how do I approach this? Imagine if she gets shocked and well knowing Somalis things spread amongst the family
I need some old head siyasinimo.

No problem with marrying cousin because you have become to knowing each other well enough and out of love is a positive thing but if it's just marry for the sake of being cousins I wouldn't recommend plus ma cid kale baa caalamka ka weeydey markaaad miskiin yar aad ilma adeernimo/abtinimo aad ku lu'gooyneeysid?

Marriage between first or even 2nd cousins increases the risk of your kids being born with some kinda behavioral problems.

DhiigSoomaaliyeed,
The worst aspect of marrying your first cousin is when you two fight or break up, it will affect the whole family. As for genetic disorder of the children, the science isn't unanimous and many unrelated couples breed children with disabilities. In my opinion, as long as you two didn't grow up together, it's fine. As for shukaansi, ehelka especially females of similar age as her u dir and they will deliver a yes, or no verdict.
NB
Consult the expertise of Dr Summu, our Somalinet resident expert in complicating marriages. Good luck.

Well, if you're going to marry back home, might aswell help out your cousin.
The unknown is never guaranteed, so you can't rule out divorce. However, regardless of that, any marital disputes could place tension in the family.
Having said that, you can make it work. If you feel like you're compatible, pray istikhara and go for it.

Hmm forgot to mention that I'm already married back home to another beautiful Somali woman and I'm the father of two pure Somali kids.
Somalis don't like cousins as first wives...let alone as a second wife *scratches head*
Honestly tho she's got good dabaacad, good deen, decent looks and i know she doesn't have any mad secrets. For me marriage is simple... find a girl who is suitable who I can build a family with and love her truly when I see her take care of my children, me and my house.
I've got a ton of cousins but for some reason this one girl I'm interested in getting married to...but maybe asking for a cousin as a second wife is a bit too much.
Guess I'll have to search afar

Lool is it that bad?
You guys are acting as if I'm doing something haraam or makrooh. If I said I'm going to get married to a second wife it's cool but a second wife who is a cousin is disgusting?
