How can they dislike each other when they are too far geographically and have no history links etc?

I don't know why many somalis tend to not get along with Jamaicans, i think it has to something to do with Jamaicans that take out halimos

to be honest with you i get along with jamaicans, they're stand up folks and have pride in their identity but the fuckers i cant stomach are the bantu africans specically the east africans. typical f-king uncle toms

I never had any problems with them, I used to go to a predominantly Afro Caribbean school in my teen years, just like any other race they have there fair share of scumbags

In Toronto there is no beef between Jamaicans and Somalis.We all grew up in the same shitty neighbourhoods.

The Jamaicans used to be the feared bully kid in the block but then skinny Somalis arrived in the mid-1990s and early 2000ish.

The Jamaicans right away wanted to investigate and test the new kid.

They saw that he was skinny and alone. He didn't speak the language and even when Jamaicans greeted the new kid was easily misunderstanding.

Then there Jamaicans began popping all the Somali chicks.

Skinny kid was shocked because back home chicks married before popping and marrying a "adoon" foreigner was lowcast and big taboo.

Then did the skinny kid multiply.

What was once 10 Jamaicans vs 3 was now 10 vs 7, then 10 vs 12.

When Jamaicans had knives, the skinnies now had guns and won't afraid to use it like back home. Somali honor is you kill your enemy. There is no such thing as "roughing them up". With Somali you get either life or death.

That's when Jamaicans realized the skinny was more mad and more deadly.

They long backed down and today in places like Canada skinnies control the streets.

They will kill you.

No beef. Every1 gets along now.

Fairy tales, Somalis don't control anything. Only the few neighbourhoods where they are already a majority. There's no beef between both groups these days anyway.

UK somalis used to get bullied by jamaicans untill the dutch somalis arrived in late 90's, early 00's. In holland we were never bullied. You had turks who are religious and maskiin, and you got dark skinned south americans (suriname, antillles) who are soft versions of jamaicans. The only tough people there were morrocans and they treated us like brothers. I personally never liked morrocans, the older ones used to beat my white friends and leave me alone. And then I'd have to explain why I got spared.

These clashes were happening in the past because Somalis were the new kid in the block, our culture was different, we had different hair, looked different and acted completely alien. The Jamaicans and other Caribbean blacks had automatic hate for us because we were different, and people especially those ignorant ones among any group hate what they don't understand.

I remember back in school days all the Caribbean kids would constantly look at my hair, and sometimes even touch it to see if it was real. They often asked me if I relaxed it or made jokes that even boys were relaxing their hair nowadays. Naturally I had no idea what they were talking about and went home to ask my mother what relaxing was. When she explained to me that they were talking about my hair, and that they were likely shocked that an African person could have such straight/curly hair. Many would also call all the local Somalis "smelly Arab" or "mutated Indian', so naturally the hatred and clashes simmered from there. You can imagine the harsh Somali attitude of retribution with cutting remarks like "slave boy" and so on, and you can just imagine how and why things become heated between the two communities.

I nearly had a fight over this two or three years ago at work. This jamaican guy in the canteen accused me of relaxing my hair like his wife. I never heard of relaxing hair but I clocked straight away what he meant and I wasn't having it. It got heated then some managers intervened and we squashed it.

In toronto the reer konfureed had beef with the jamaicans in the past because they were both in streets but djiboutians, and somalilanders didn't have problem them because their kids didn't hang outside with them.

I'm in ny there is barely any somali here so jamaicans love africa they want be it so bad so there is no problem here. jamaicans are soft hearted people they take rejection the wrong way they fall in love with a girl and want to kill for her it's called protect the poon poon she is my queen.

I been Holland and seen how the Somalis get rolled over. You niggas from Holland with yellow and orange jeans and jumpers have had the victim label from day dot. Wallahi I have never seen one from Holland with balls. Plus by the time you guys arrived the hard work hard been done. The real wars were in the 90's and my older brother in East London conquered them areas. The Bengalis and Jamaicans back then had no respect for Somalis....
